Winter Tree Work?
Most homeowners tend to put their outdoor projects on hold for a season, but did you know that winter can be an excellent time to have your tree work done?
Here are a couple reasons why you should consider tree work in the winter.
- Frozen ground: One of the most common reasons for working in the cold months is the benefit of the frozen ground. Frozen ground allows us to get jobs done in less time since more of our equipment can be positioned closer to the tree. Less time on the job means you save money.
- Dormant insects: Oak and elm trees can only be trimmed in the winter, specifically between October 15th and April 1st. This is because the insects that carry oak wilt and dutch elm disease are dormant during the winter months.
