Middleton confirmed: Emerald Ash Borer

On May 19, 2014 Emerald Ash Borer (EAB) was confirmed in the city of Middleton. We are a little surprised at how fast the beetle spread since it was first discovered in the Warner Park area on Madison’s northeast side. Our approach to treating and preventing EAB hasn’t changed. But we feel an obligation to let our customers know this vital information for the health of their ash trees.

If you live in Middleton and have ash trees that you want to preserve, we encourage you to treat them now. You can fill out this form on our website and get on our schedule.

If you live outside of Middleton, this case demonstrates how quickly the beetle can travel. Trees are valuable to your landscape and property and we want to do our best to preserve those resources. Feel free to forward this newsletter to friends or family who may also have ash trees that they want to protect.
