Shrub Planting

Shrubs need attention too. Most shrubs should be pruned twice each growing season, with varying schedules based on the species. The most common mistake is not pruning every season, allowing shrubs to become over mature and out of control. If shrubs are maintained they’re healthier, look better, retain size longer, and cost less per pruning. A typical shrub pruning program involves an aggressive prune during the dormant season to help maintain size, and a post flowering prune during the growing season to maintain shape and promote future flower production.
